On-site X-ray, ultrasound, DEXA bone density, and pulmonary function testing — most imaging happens the same visit.
Imaging under the same roof
Most imaging ordered during a visit at AMC can be performed the same day, in the same building. No scheduling a second appointment across town, no waiting for reports to be faxed back.
What we perform on-site
- X-ray — plain radiography for chest, musculoskeletal, and abdominal work-up
- Ultrasound — abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and musculoskeletal studies
- Thyroid ultrasound — performed alongside endocrinology consultations
- DEXA (bone densitometry) — osteoporosis screening and follow-up
- Pulmonary function testing (PFT) — spirometry and full PFT panels for asthma, COPD, and pre-operative evaluation
Studies requiring CT or MRI are referred next door to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
