Payment policy
Our guidelines for co-pays, self-pay balances, insurance, and payment plans.
Insurance
Anniston Medical Clinic participates with most major insurance plans in Alabama. We will file your claim on your behalf. You are responsible for verifying that AMC and your specific provider are in-network with your plan; coverage details change frequently and are ultimately set by your insurer, not by the clinic.
Co-pays and deductibles
Co-pays are due at the time of service. If your plan has an unmet deductible or a coinsurance obligation, we may collect an estimated amount at check-in; any overpayment will be refunded after the claim is processed.
Self-pay
We welcome self-pay patients. Payment is expected at the time of service. Ask the front desk about self-pay pricing for common visit types.
Missed appointments
As a courtesy to other patients who are waiting, we ask for 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Repeated no-show appointments may result in a nominal fee or in a request to transfer care.
Outstanding balances
Statements are mailed monthly. Balances unpaid after 90 days may be referred to a collection agency. If you are unable to pay in full, please call the business office at 256-236-5631 — we would much rather set up a payment plan than send your account to collections.
Questions
Our business office can review any statement line by line. Call 256-236-5631 and ask for billing.
